I began my coding journey over 25 years ago with web development, self-taught and driven by a passion for creating my own space on the internet. At the time, I wasn’t working in tech, but coding fulfilled my desire to explore the digital world. With a growing interest in a technology-related career, I pursued a degree in Computing from Teesside University while working for the local government in a systems team.
During my time at the council, I held various roles, eventually moving into management of a procurement team. Despite the shift, my passion for tech never faded. I finally transitioned into a full-time technology role as a Product Developer for Aventum Group, where I’ve enjoyed working for over three years.
Now, as times are changing, so is my focus at work. We’re diving into Robotic Process Automation (RPA), using tools like:
- UI Path
- Power Automate
This shift presents an exciting opportunity to learn new skills. To prepare, I’ve enrolled in several courses on Udemy to enhance both my RPA knowledge and refresh my web development skills.
